Cambridge esCapades

Dianne here...being in Cambridge really does allow us to relax a bit between ventures.  Our memories here will remain some of our fondest from our year away...

Each week at church there is tea time after the service, where folks REALLY DO stay around and visit. Here, the stud club.:) 

And one of our favorite Cambridge traditions is walking to the market after church on Sundays
 and eating ostrich burgers for lunch. Mmmmmm....

Our friends the Hargraves have trained and tamed these ducks...
they follow Hannah here as if they were ducklings!

We thought the Guthries would never get over here for George's summer sabbatical.
SO good to see them and have them as neighbors!

Our newest neighbor and little buddy--Julian Platter.  Such a cutie!! :)

Well, Cambridge is the only place the kids have ever played golf, and they've done it several times now, each time with the Jongkind family.  When they arrive home each time, and I ask them how it went, they always talk over one another with all the funny moments and antics they pulled and fabulous shots they barely missed.  

After an afternoon of golf, what better thing to do than to bake cookies...

Our family loves to dance, so when we were invited to a ceilidh, we were ALL IN!!

Last autumn when we were in Austria, we stayed with the Bernsteiner family.  At that time Lea (above) mentioned that she had to do a three month internship in an English-speaking country over the Summer.  Daniel offhandedly said she should do it at Tyndale House in Cambridge, and, well, here she is!!  

Lea's first month she will be living with this super family, the Hargraves.
 

And we get to have Lea live with us at Tyndale House in July.  YaY!!
