Tongariro 11 mile hike past Mt. Doom.

              This is Dan, and I am gonna tell about our adventure on the Tongariro Alpine Crossing.  So we woke up and drove to the trail head. On the way the driver told us it would take us about 7 hours 30 minutes to do the hike... yep, that's a long day hike, but it is insanely beautiful and you could see Mount Doom a lot of the way so it was cool. Well at some points the trail was about 5 feet wide with sheer cliffs on either side and mom was dying (she's afraid of heights) but we made it.  And also it was really windy up top.

The views on this hike were unreal, and long, but it was totally worth it, and the water is all naturally heated. Totally epic.
